A spiritual sequel
Previously I stated I would be revisiting the concept of a game soundtrack, and here is the culmination of that experiment. Journey Home follows a soldier trying to find somewhere to call home after a brutal war. Their journey takes a few twists and turns as they get involved in several ordeals before finally finding a place they can call home.
It wasn't the shortest path, but it was my road.
With the album My Road, I was aiming for a fusion of Hip-hop and Jazz. The concept of the album was a combination of tracks that would work on their own and also tracks that would be good to feature a horn or vocal lead.
Sometimes it's a prince, but usually it's just a frog.
Mischievous tracks perfect for backing your favorite reality show drama moments. I had a great deal of fun putting this album together, getting to play in more whimsical spaces than I typically work.
Civic Duty
You've been watching all night, waiting for the results to come in on your favorite station. They're talking about one thing or another and then you hear it, the fanfare, the horns, and you know it's time for more numbers. The horns and the trumpets take the lead in this shorter tracks meant to be looped behind the announcer's reporting.
What you can't see, can't hurt you...
Behind you, you can feel their presence. Following. Stalking. Waiting for the perfect moment. In Past Tense you'll find tension cues of various natures : brooding, horrific, suffocating, all ready to increase the level of discomfort of your shots. This album was interesting to put together as it involved more sound design and a specific style that I was not quite comfortable in at the beginning. Stuck to it and have come up with some pretty frightening tracks.

With this album, I was mainly playing around with the concept of different subtypes of chillstep, and that can be immediately seen by the ever changing vibe each track produces. I think the next time I take on a mission like this I might experiment with vocals as well, see what I can achieve with those increased parameters.
